StayWellAware (“we,” “us”) runs staywellaware.com. We try to collect as little information about you as possible. This page explains what we do collect, why, and what choices you have.
The short version
- You don’t need an account to read anything here.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t ask for your health information, and we’d prefer you don’t send it to us.
- When you click an affiliate link and visit a store, that store’s own privacy policy applies from that point on.
Information we collect
Information you send us. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and, where relevant, to correct or improve the site. Please don’t include personal medical details. We can’t give medical advice, and we don’t want to hold sensitive health information.
Basic usage data. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and prevent abuse.
Analytics. [CHOOSE ONE BEFORE LAUNCH: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is designed not to use cookies or track you across sites, to count page views and see which articles are useful. / We do not use analytics.] We use this information in aggregate form only.
Newsletter. [ONLY IF ADDED LATER: If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address with our email provider, Porkbun, to send it to you. Every email has an unsubscribe link.]
Cookies
StayWellAware itself does not set advertising cookies. [Update this section if that changes.]
When you click an affiliate link, you go to another company’s website (for example, a supplement or device brand) or pass briefly through an affiliate network such as CJ or Impact. Those companies may set their own cookies to record that you came from our site so they can credit us if you buy. Those cookies are controlled by them, not by us, and are covered by their privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
How we use information
- To run, secure, and improve the website
- To reply to your messages
- To understand which articles people find useful
- To meet legal obligations
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting/CDN provider (Hostinger) and our email provider, and only as needed for them to do that job. We may also disclose information if required by law.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your message and any follow-up, then deleted in routine cleanups. Server and analytics data are kept according to our providers’ standard retention periods.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by contacting us at the address on our Contact page. Depending on where you live (for example, in certain U.S. states, the EU, or the UK), you may have additional rights under local law, and we’ll honor valid requests.
Children
StayWellAware is written for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to government health sites, research databases, and stores. We’re not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
